Just going through pictures to see what I haven't posted. There's lots so I'll just keep adding as I find them

These were made for my niece's baby. This picture is before I took it back and added length and more color. Length because Abby's legs are so long and more color, just because I wanted to.

This is a skirt I made for Lindsay a while back. Now that I look at the picture, I think it's so cute I'll have to make more of those.

More shirts for Lindsay. She's probably outgrown them by now.

Here are just a few of the things I worked on over the summer...

The round ripple afghan and white "bubblesuit" were made for a surprise baby for some friends at our church.

This is Aaliyah first Christmas stocking.

This is my made up pattern for a hanging kitchen towel . I have to have a towel near my sink. Since I made this one, I've made a bunch more and just recently came up with an adapter piece to put through the ring so it can be hung on a stove also.

Grandma's Gifts

Lindsay needed a shirt to match her polka dot leggings and Grandma got volunteered to make her one. (Check out the pose - She thinks she's a model.)

During out last visit I managed to make up a few shirt-dresses for her to wear to school.

This last one we decided to add some shorts too so that when she's in gym class she doesn't have to worry about wearing a dress. I'm thinking I should go ahead and add shorts to the rest of them.

And she LOVES to wear hats...
(I just made this one up as I went along...couldn't repeat it if I had too.)

Baby Stuff...

Newborn Dress, Hat, Bib & Booties
(for my granddaughter that'll be here in November)

Sleeper & Night Cap
(also for my new granddaughter)

Spring Dress (0-3 mos.)

Sweater (6-9 mos.)

Dress, Hat & Diaper Cover

The left picture shows the ruffle on the back of the diaper cover.
It also shows the truer color of the outfit.

Dress I made for a friend's sister, who's having a baby girl the first part of September.

This week I've been making dresses from t-shirts for my 5 year old granddaughter. I'll post those pictures soon.

More completed projects...

Here are a few more pictures of projects I've completed this summer. They are all the same pattern, using Joann Sensations Boucle. I love how this yarn stripes itself.

I was given approximately 75 skeins of worsted weight yarn that came from the home of an older woman. Based on the colors and the packaging I'm guessing it's yarn from the 70's. I can hardly wait to start making things with it, but I've been concentrating on baby items for the past several weeks. I'll post pictures as soon as I take the time to take pictures. I also bought an inexpensive life size newborn baby doll to use as a model. Plus, since I don't always follow the yarn types or crochet hook sizes, I thought it would help me to know what size I'm ending up with when I make adjustments. That's about it for now.

What I've been doing . . .

These shrugs were made from Yarn Bee yarn from Hobby Lobby. I can't afford to buy anymore of this yarn unless it goes on sale but I sure love working with it. It is SOOOOOO soft!!!

What I've been doing . . .

These shrugs are all made with the same super soft yarn from Yarn Bee. I can't remember the name and I'm on the road. I'll add it to this post at a later date.

For my granddaughter...

So...for those of you who don't already know, I'm expecting my first "blood" grandchild on November 8th. We are expecting a girl so I've started making her outfits. This is what I've done so far...

I haven't added all the flowers yet so the piece below isn't quite done.
I still have to add ribbon to these booties and I may change the ribbon that's currently in the hat for this outfit.

More baby stuff to come soon.

Coca-Cola Kitchen

So...this is what I've been working on for the past year. Actually, I've just been supervising and paying for this work to be done. Seriously, folks, I'm not at all skilled in this arena.

To the left is a small part of the kitchen counter, designed to look like a clock. The "numbers" are actually metal Coke caps. The center is a Coca-Cola stone coaster. The white background is broken up ceramic tiles. And the hour and minutes hands are ceramic tile (Paul had the contractor set the time on the clock to the time I was born---awwww, that was sooooo sweet.)

Here is the spotlight of the whole kitchen in some ways. Coca-Cola was spelled out with clear "coca-cola green" ceramic tiles that were cut and shaped painstakingly by our contractor. They did a BEAUTIFUL job! No picture could ever do it justice.

This is a small portion of the kitchen to give you a little perspective. I hope to get some better pictures soon, but like I said, pictures could never do it justice. The cabinets are sooooo awesome!
